Contract Opportunity: Content & Communications Support

Gift Card & Voucher Association (GCVA)
Freelance | Approx. 1 day/week | Remote | Ongoing Contract

The Gift Card & Voucher Association (GCVA) is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented communications freelancer to support our busy team with content creation and copywriting. This is a flexible contract role ideal for someone with experience in marketing, communications, or content development, and an interest in the fast-moving world of gift cards and incentives.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and schedule engaging social media posts for the GCVA LinkedIn account, including:

Event booking

Exhibitor and speaker announcements

General GCVA updates and reminders

Assist in drafting and editing copy for newsletters and member communications

Review and refine email communications for clarity, grammar, tone, and flow

Edit and rewrite research-based reports (e.g., consumer insights) into clear, accessible summaries

Provide occasional support with updating and refining website copy

Writing of blog copy for new website to highlight innovation and through-leadership

Development of video content for events, updates and promotions

What We’re Looking For:

Strong writing and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail, desirable to have experience in sales and event copy

Ability to turn technical or formal copy into clear, engaging content

Experience writing for B2B audiences and/or professional membership bodies is a plus

Proficient in digital platforms like LinkedIn, Mailchimp (or similar), and basic CMS tools

Organised and self-sufficient — comfortable working remotely with light-touch direction

Experience with simple video creation and editing

Working Pattern:

Approx. one working day per week (can be split over two half-days or flexible hours)

Must be available via email before main working periods, and keep the GCVA team up to date with any and all changes to working patterns

Occasional ad hoc requests in the lead-up to major events or campaigns
