  • Giftcard500 – campaigning to make a difference for businesses, employees and the economy

    Giftcard500 is the GCVA’s campaign to raise HMRC’s Trivial Benefits Allowance from £50 tax-free to at least £500. A higher threshold would let employers recognise staff more meaningfully, support retention and recruitment, and put extra spending into retail, leisure and hospitality without extra tax complexity.

  • Dr Hannah Shimko Appointed as Director General of the Gift Card and Voucher Association (GCVA)

    The GCVA has appointed Dr Hannah Shimko as Managing Director from 10 April 2024. Formerly CEO of the Online Dating and Discovery Association, she brings trade-association leadership in membership growth, policy and communications. Co-Chairs Siobhan Moore and Adam Hobbs said her experience was exactly what the GCVA needed.
